The Women's Winter Tour is a grassroots event dedicated to celebrating the sassiness of women, winter, and a most beloved treat – chocolate. TheTour began in 1999 to promote skiing and fitness, the Vasa Trail, promote Timber Ridge Nordic Center and encourage women to participate in the North American Vasa ski race.
Armed with the belief that the right atmosphere AND chocolate can lure anyone outdoors, the organization embodies a passion for fitness and fun.
The event, through registration and sponsorship fees, raises funds for local abuse charities, a cause that affects many American families. Through our events we hope to encourage women to make healthy emotional and physical decisions. By taking care of themselves, women improve their lives, their families' lives, and ultimately, the quality of life within their communities. The Women's Winter Tour is a vital resource to ensure a community's overall quality of life for its citizens.
The Women's Winter Tour is produced by Active Women Now, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping to end sexual and domestic abuse, by supporting local charities that assist in these areas.
