About Us

The National Women’s Winter Tour is a grassroots event dedicated to celebrating the sassiness of women, winter, and a most beloved treat – chocolate!

Each event, through registration and sponsorship fees, raises funds for local domestic abuse charities, a cause that affects many American families. By bringing awareness to the issue of domestic abuse, we emphasize the importance of women making healthy decisions. By taking care of themselves, women improve their lives, their families’ lives, and ultimately, the quality of life within their communities. The Women’s Winter Tour is a vital resource to ensure a community’s overall quality of life for its citizens.

The woman behind it all:

Kaye is the founder and Executive Director of Active Women Now, a nonprofit organization that produces the Women's Winter Tour that benefits local domestic abuse organizations.  Kaye's dream began as a small seed in Traverse City, Michigan, with 200 women joining together on Super Bowl Sunday to celebrate women, winter, and chocolate.  She has inspired participants nationwide joining her one-of-a-kind event and eat a little chocolate at the same time!

Kaye brings local communities an opportunity to empower women of all ages and purely enjoy being a woman.  Participants rediscover the fun of winter, camaraderie among women, and a delightful array of goodies on the ski and snowshoe trails.  These participants also appreciate helping women in need within their local communities.

Kaye holds a degree from the University of Michigan and brings over 20 years
of marketing and design experience to the Tour.
